Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France Announces Cast Change for ‘Bluebeard’s Castle’

The Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France has announced a cast change for its concert of Bartok’s “Bluebeard’s Castle” on Nov. 29, 2024.

The orchestra said that Aušrinė Stundytė will sing the role of Judith, replacing Asmik Grigorian.

Stundytė is a dramatic soprano who has performed at the Salzburg Festival, Royal Opera House, Wiener Staatsoper, and Festival Aix-En-Provence. This season, she will perform “Die Tote Stadt” in Norway and “Die Frau ohne Schatten,” among others.

Stundytė will join Matthias Goerne who will sing the title role. Mikko Franck conducts the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. The concert will be streamed on France Musique and will be released on CD in 2025 via Alpha Classics.
