Eight leading Norwegian companies are showcasing groundbreaking innovations and sustainable solutions that enable green transition in different sectors as they seek to deepen presence in Vietnam.

Their green solutions are being displayed at the Norwegian Pavilion at the Green Economy Forum & Exhibition 2024 (GEFE2024) opened on Monday by the European Chamber of Commerce (EuroCham) in Vietnam in collaboration with the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade in Ho Chi Minh City.

During the three-day event, Norway’s contributions to green technology and sustainability will be on full display at the pavilion, offering visitors deep insight into the future of environmentally responsible business, as well as the role that the private sector plays in building a greener economy.

The eight Norwegian representatives are Jotun, Vard, Yara, Eagles Technology, Equinor, UMOE Advanced Composites, DNV, and C-Loop.

“We are proudly introducing an excellent team of Norwegian companies that are at the forefront of the green economy, leading the way in the industries vital to both economic growth and environmental stewardship: shipbuilding, energy, paint and coating production, fertilizer, and the circular economy,” said Norwegian Ambassador to Vietnam Hilde Solbakken.

She added that the pavilion reflects Norway’s long-standing commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility through their sustainable practices and green solutions. “It also tells you how the Norwegian companies have been working closely with the Vietnamese partners to uphold the values of sustainability, making active contributions to Vietnam’s economic growth and transition to a greener future.”

Karin Greve-Isdahl, Norwegian commercial counsellor and director of Innovation Norway, said: “Be they already active in Vietnam or still exploring this promising market, our companies are committed to contributing to the green economy through advanced solutions and technologies. They will also prove that a greener and sustainable future is not just possible but also profitable.”
