In the first half of the week, there will be more clouds in the sky and frequent rain showers in Latvia, according to Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.

Some rain is expected in south-eastern regions of Latvia. A new precipitation zone will pass through Latvia from the west during the day – rain is expected in most of the country. Fog may appear at night and in the morning, impacting visibility. The wind will blow from the south, reaching a speed of upwards of 15 m/sec along the coast. In the afternoon the wind in Kurzeme will blow from the west.

Meteorologists say that minimal air temperature will stay at +8° C… +12° C at night, whereas daytime air temperature will reach +11° C… +14° C. It will continue to rain in most of the country over the course of the night to Wednesday. However, precipitation will calm down during the day and will only appear in eastern parts of the country. The wind will blow from the west, reaching a speed of 15-18 m/sec along the coast and 15 m/sec in eastern parts of the country. Air temperature will stay at +8° C… +11° C at night. Daytime air temperature will reach +10° C… +13° C.

Weather will remain cloudy in the second half of the week. Precipitation intensity will go down – only local rain showers expected. The wind will remain slow to moderate and will blow from the west and south-west. On Thursday night along the coast and in eastern parts in the afternoon wind speed will reach 15-16 m/sec. On Thursday and Friday minimal air temperature will reach +6° C… +12° C. Daytime air temperature will reach +11° C… +14° C.

On the weekend atmospheric pressure will go up even more. The weather will be partly cloudy. Some rain is expected on Sunday. Wind speed will be slow. Air temperature at night will drop to +5° C… +10° C. Daytime air temperature will remain slightly above +10° C. Weather conditions will change next week – rain showers will come to more areas in Latvia.
