“Relations between Greece and Japan through Diplomatic Documents”: An exhibition on the occasion of the Greece-Japan Year of Culture and TourismIn the framework of the events organized on the occasion of 2024 Greece-Japan Year of Culture and Tourism, the Service of Diplomatic and Historical Archives of the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs presents, through the archival material that it possesses, an exhibition of documents and other items with the aim of illustrating some of the most important moments in the history of the relations between the two states.

The exhibition contains approximately 80 exhibits, starting with diplomatic documents from 1872, which cover different areas of Greek-Japanese relations, including diplomatic and consular relations, economic, commercial, cultural and educational relations, etc.

The exhibition will be open to the public from 21 October to 4 November 2024 at the Byzantine and Christian Museum of Athens (Vas. Sofias 22, Athens, Evangelismos Metro station. Opening hours: Monday 09:00-16:00, Tuesday closed, Wednesday-Sunday 09:00-16:00).

The exhibition will be officially presented by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Giorgos Kotsiras, on October 30.

After its presentation in Athens, the exhibition will be hosted in Tokyo, Japan, in December 2024.
