Constitutional referendum in Moldova (20 October 2024)
France welcomes the Moldovan people’s sovereign decision to continue moving towards a free, democratic European future.
Moldovans exercised their sovereign choice despite many foreign attempts at destabilization and information manipulation, which France strongly condemns. France welcomes the smooth running of the constitutional referendum, as confirmed by the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR).
France stands four-square behind Moldova and its people to support them on the path towards European Union membership.
