Harmancı: Solving the Cyprus Issue Isn't Necessary to Be Human

Mayor of Nicosia Turkish Municipality (LTB), Mehmet Harmancı, in response to the recent murder in Haspolat, stressed that one does not need the resolution of the Cyprus issue to be human, honest, principled, or dignified.

Harmancı: Solving the Cyprus Issue Isn't Necessary to Be Human

Harmancı shared his thoughts on social media, reflecting on the arson incident that claimed a life, drawing parallels with past tragedies.

Harmancı highlighted the dangers posed by the uncontrolled population influx and the short-term profit-driven system in the country, which led to a young person being burned alive. He pointed out that this tragic event echoes the horrific Solingen attack in Germany.

“Do we need the solution of the Cyprus issue to be human?” Harmancı questioned, adding, “No, remaining partially human is enough.” He underscored that while the Cyprus issue needs to be resolved, it is not a prerequisite for maintaining human decency.
