The United States women’s national team will play for the first time since winning the Olympic gold medal in August on Thursday when it faces Iceland in an international friendly at Q2 Stadium in Austin.
It’s the first of a three-game tour celebrating the team’s Olympic glory, with another match vs. Iceland on Sunday in Nashville and a contest against Argentina on Wednesday in Louisville.
Gold medal match hero Mallory Swanson is one of many stars with the team for the tour.

This will be the 16th meeting between the two countries with the USWNT being undefeated in the series with a record of 13-0-2. The USWNT won the last meeting 5-0 in the SheBelieves Cup on Feb. 23, 2022 at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas. The two countries first met in 1998.
In the current FIFA world rankings, the USWNT is No. 1 and Iceland is 13th.
