The Washington Commanders (5-2) were back on the practice field Thursday for their second practice of the week in preparation for the Week 8 showdown against the Chicago Bears (4-2).

Quarterback Jayden Daniels missed his second consecutive practice, which was expected. Head coach Dan Quinn said on Wednesday that he would have an update on Daniels Friday when he met with the media. Daniels’ practice status on Friday was always the one to watch. If he practices, even on a limited basis, there’s a good chance he’s on the field Sunday.

Rookie left tackle Brandon Coleman remains in concussion protocol.
