Anthropic has upgraded its AI assistant Claude with the ability to write and execute JavaScript code in real time. The new feature is called the “analysis tool,” and it’s available in feature preview on Claude.ai. The tool essentially acts as a code sandbox within Claude, where users can ask Claude to write and execute JavaScript code.
This means Claude can do complex math, work through datasets, and iterate through different ideas all in one place. You’ll also get more precise answers when working with data-heavy tasks, as Claude can now verify its calculations rather than relying solely on its training.
The practical applications span across different business functions. You can now upload CSV files containing customer data, sales figures, or server logs, and Claude will process this information to provide actionable insights. For instance, you can have Claude analyze customer interaction data to identify conversion opportunities or examine global sales data for country-specific performance trends.
