REDDING, Calif. — With the election less than two weeks away and concerns about the accuracy and honesty of voting tabulation being raised by some, Shasta County Clerk and Registrar of Voters Tom Toller provided insights into the voting process.

Toller explained that once ballots are dropped off, they are placed into the Agilis machine, which sorts them by precinct.

There is a public observation area upstairs, equipped with eight video monitors showing the inside and outside of the building, as well as viewing areas into the processing and tabulation rooms.

For those who have not yet voted, Monday was the last day to register. However, Toller said voters can still conditionally vote or update their voter registration at their county elections office.
