There was no clear winner when Bulgarians last went to the polls in June

Bulgarians will cast ballots on Sunday in the seventh general election in just over three years, with the country facing continued political instability as analysts say the next poll will likely turn up more of the same.

Of the six elections since 2021, only two have produced an elected government, both of which subsequently collapsed as politicians tried and failed to introduce policies and reforms.
