Alexandra will be the new country manager for ING’s wholesale business in the United Kingdom (UK), subject to regulatory approval.

Alexandra is joining from Santander, where she was head of the UK Corporate and Investment Bank.

A seasoned leader, she brings a 30-year track record in banking at Santander, Citi, and Morgan Stanley along with deep knowledge of the UK market.

ING in the UK, is fully focussed on Wholesale Banking and provides corporates and financial institutions a range of banking services including lending, advisory, global capital markets, and transaction services.

In her new role, Alexandra will be responsible for a team of almost 750 staff and clients that include more than 60% of the FTSE 100.

She succeeds Malgorzata Kolakowska who has led the UK team with distinction from 2018 into a double-digit growth trajectory through both Brexit and the coronavirus pandemic.

Malgorzata is on the Supervisory Board of ING Bank in Poland and will continue to build her portfolio of non-executive board positions.

Commenting on her new role, Alexandra said:

Alexandra’s leadership will drive the ongoing development and expansion of ING’s Wholesale Banking client base across the UK. She will also play a crucial role in shaping ING’s commercial strategy.

Alexandra will work closely with Malgorzata to ensure a smooth handover when she starts in 1Q2025.
