(CNN)– If you are looking for a shorter work week, you might want to tell your boss about what’s happening in Iceland.

On Friday, Oct. 25, two think-tanks published new research showing that Iceland’s economy has boomed since introducing a four day work week with no pay reduction.

Data show that between 2020, and 2022, 51% of workers had accepted the offer of shorter working hours.

A year later, Iceland logged faster economic growth than most European countries.

Not only that, its unemployment rate is now one of the lowest in Europe.
