The new Denmark manager has said that Manchester United-linked midfield Morten Hjulmand “will arrive” in the Premier League.
Although Manchester United added Manuel Ugarte to the midfield department in the summer, the Reds are still being linked with a list of alternative options in the market.
Christian Eriksen and Casemiro are both likely to leave the club at the end of the season and we have learned that it’s too early to be over-reliant on Kobbie Mainoo in the centre of the pitch. The youngster is currently ruled out of the team with a muscle injury but there’s no disputing that he is already one of our best players.
Sporting Lisbon defensive midfielder Hjulmand was linked with a move to Old Trafford again this week, with the Reds eyeing up a list of eight midfielders – with reported plans to make two new additions in midfield, in the new year.

A move to the Premier League did not materialise for Hjulmand in the summer, but it could happen next year if he continues to impress at Sporting Lisbon.
Brian Riemer, formerly the assistant coach at Brentford, has been announced as Denmark’s new manager and believes that the midfielder has what it takes to succeed at a club like United.
“I spent two years in the Premier League and I think he has the necessary qualities to play for the six or seven best clubs in the English league,” Riemer told O Jogo.
“Tottenham, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City… At a certain point in his career, I believe he will arrive at one of these teams.”
Sporting will demand a big transfer fee for Hjulmand’s signature after seeing the impact Bruno Fernandes has made at United.
His current manager, Ruben Amorim, has been linked with the United job in recent weeks as pressure mounts on Ten Hag.
Reports suggest the Sporting star has a £67m release clause, as per Correio da Manha.
