Really not sure what her point is here since many people use cannabis to sleep. It was three plants, does she think he’s some sort of kingpin raking in a dozens of euro a year of them?

The war on drugs continues to be an abject failure and a waste of taxpayer money.
So a €500 fine for growing weed. Let’s look at the results of this:
* With a potential harsh fine for growing their own, smokers are forced to give money to organised crime. * Dealers are financially incentivised to violently control turf to deal on. * The smoker is buying a bag of ‘do you want it or not’. No idea if the THC content is harmful to them. * A colossal waste of taxpayer money for the whole fiasco. From Garda wages for the investigation & arrest – to wages for the judge and all court staff for the day of the trial.
But sure look, we got back €500 or the thousands it cost and some harmless smokey-joe gets a criminal record. Absolute clown shoes.
Ah but sure if he was just a Pedo or he assaulted someone with a Hurley or he SA’d a person he’d have been grand and got no more than a slap on the wrist 👍
The morons we have in power are mind numbing and depressing.
The war on drugs failed before it even began. Just let people grow it if they want and stop lining the pockets of thugs on e-scooters
