Musk and Trump’s EV standoff sparks industry debate. Trump’s opposition to the IRA could seriously shake up the US EV sector. Beyond EVs, Tesla’s charging stations and renewable energy units could also be impacted. The Musk-Trump alliance underscores the EV divide between Republicans and Democrats.

  1. Explain like I’m 5 (ELI5). How will Tesla and Musk benefit in a Trump presidency? Let’s say Trump is able to repeal the Inflation Reduction Act. So no more EV tax credits. Maybe no more carbon credits either. Tesla currently benefits from the $7500 credit. Without it the price is higher. Why won’t people just buy less expensive ICE cars?

  2. Musk is making a mockery of himself. Drumpf promises aren’t worth a penny, his cash cow is going to stop giving milk if Trump (read: fossil fuels) gets elected.

  3. Tesla is really more annoying than anything else to Musk. Government investigations into FSD and crashes. Not really exciting and fun anymore. SpaceX and Trump much more of a rush. 30% more sales next year? Hard to see rationale.

  4. All kmla voters here at garbage chat. Half of them paid bots. Russian probably 🤣

  5. IRA is a law, not an executive order. Repealing it will take an act of Congress.

I’m not sure Trump is up to it.

  6. Trumps alliance with Elon will be good for both of them, and Trump owns a Tesla Roadster and a Tesla CyberTruck

  7. Make no mistake Elon is getting all the gov contracts when Trump wins. Elon has a great track record to qualify. We paid them half the cost of the budget for Boeing for SpaceX and SpaceX blows them out of the water

  8. Trump isn’t gonna get rid of the IRA in its entirely or maybe even at all. It is super popular, even with his biggest supporters in the O&G industry
