What can be done about this when as expected language fluency is the main reason why this is happening?

  1. The title could be too:

“Highly educated Finnish in Finland have trouble finding jobs matching their qualifications.”

The ratio of jobs/seekers now is extremely bad.

  2. I hate to speak facts but nobody gives a rat’s ass about language skills during this day and age. You cant even buy a lunch in Helsinki without using English these days. Its just a bullshit excuse many of these companies like to use.

The real reason is already mentioned here, too many candidates and not enough jobs. Universities are good at selling this false dream that you simply walk into your dream job from the day you graduate. Unfortunately, the reality will hit the face once one walk out of the campus gates, doesnt matter if youre a foreigner or not.

  3. Well even Finns who made a career abroad and moved back as well as forever locals have a hard time finding work…
