  1. Looks like hurricanes and insurance companies dont care about climate change denial and conspiracy theories.

  2. Knowing how many claims have been denied is one thing but knowing how many have been significantly underpaid because the insurance companies mess with the assessors reports is another thing.

Apparently this has been a problem in Florida.

  3. “Most likely, these are primarily flood claims that are not covered by a standard property insurance, condo insurance or flood insurance policy. You need flood insurance to cover a flood claim.”

this is really all we need to know

  4. With an average insurance premium at $2,300 per year, the insurance companies scammed $85,100,000 every year from those households. The biggest racket in the cuntry. If only someone thought of trying a representative government.

  5. The “save, save, save” mentality we’ve been trained to indulge in with insurance contributes to the distrust in the industry. Every time you want to drive the cost down, the insurance plan will add restrictions and reduce coverages.

Absolutely heartbreaking Florida keeps getting slammed by storms and people are being displaced and lives are being ruined, but natural flood is not covered by traditional homeowners.
