Have-a-Go sessions

A new venture for the club took place last Saturday at the O Raghallaigh’s GAA club in Drogheda with CúChulainn archers and coaches in attendance at a Have-a-Go session for people whose names were on the Beginner Course list.

There are also sessions in the Redeemer Centre in Dundalk.

Quite a queue developed with almost 50 people of all ages lining up for the session. However, with all the coaches in attendance along with archers directing the eager, ‘soon-to-be archers’ to the coaching line, all went well and everyone got their chance to try archery and speak to the coaches.

There were also some who turned up with archery equipment who hadn’t trained in years and were delighted to find an archery club now on their doorstep and were eager to sign up. All told, it was a very busy weekend for all the club.
