Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Milan, the rose 0.71%.

The best performers of the session on the were DiaSorin SpA (BIT:), which rose 2.50% or 2.55 points to trade at 104.55 at the close. Meanwhile, Banca Popolare di Sondrio ScpA (BIT:) added 2.11% or 0.15 points to end at 7.01 and Banco Bpm SpA (BIT:) was up 1.71% or 0.10 points to 6.19 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Iveco Group NV (BIT:), which fell 2.74% or 0.28 points to trade at 9.76 at the close. Eni SpA (BIT:) declined 1.62% or 0.23 points to end at 14.19 and Telecom Italia (BIT:) was 0.46% or 0.00 points to 0.24.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 272 to 228 and 50 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for December delivery was down 5.61% or 4.03 to $67.75 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 5.57% or 4.21 to hit $71.42 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.01% or 0.20 to trade at $2,754.40 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.22% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.16% to 0.83.

The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 104.14.
