This is a 20 minute talk where he explains the whole situation quite well. He covers the current situation, the “cold blob”, and why the IPCC reports are getting it so very, very wrong when it comes to the AMOC and it’s stability in a warming world.
The scary part is how he suggests that if we even approach the tipping point, that may be sufficient for the current to fail due to its own self reinforcing loop.

Time to sell off that northern European property folks.
Maybe the best thing at this point is to try to figure out how to exist without it because it’s obvious that no one wants to fix it.
London is 51.5 degrees N. That’s the same latitude as Fairfax Alaska, the only part of America on the same latitude as the UK. Just for the idiots who think we’re south enough not to be affected
