  1. If they’d line up every dead Russian soldier shoulder to shoulder they would’ve covered more ground.

  2. It sucks to deny, but the Russians are steadily gaining ground. These gains come at the cost of high numbers of equipment and a mountain of corpses but they are gains nonetheless. We sometimes get lost in the propaganda and like to believe that the situation is tenable but we can not deny the reality of things. The Ukrainians are holding up and putting up a good fight, but the war can not be won at this rate. Something must change. We must continue to rally for support to Ukraine. We must spread word to our fellow citizens abroad, plead with our governments and politicians, and do everything we can to aid Ukraine. At the onset of the full-scale invasion next to know one imagined they’d still be holding back the Russians almost 3 years after the war began. If we can help it, they’ll hold for 3 years more until the Russians finally give up or collapse.

  3. That’s depressing. Although it’s been paid for with lots of ruzzian blood and treasure.

  4. Its not more than a few miles for the entire year. Zoom out ans see the whole of Ukraine. The gains are marginal.

  5. It’s OK. Ukrainian land is a hell of a lot cheaper than Ukrainian lives. Let’s trust that since 2022, Ukrainians know when to move back and how to make the Orcz pay for every inch in blood. Now go donate!

    Slava Ukraine 🇺🇦 🇨🇦.

  6. Ukraine needs the bomb asap.

West is just drip feeding support and shows no will to try to end this war, if they would wan’t to end it they would support Ukraine with Nato troops and airpower.

  7. and for what? For Half of their remaining soviet stockpiles, tens of thousands of dead men, just for the land to be transferred back to Ukraine when the war is over.

  8. That’s a good reality check right now. It’s not looking good. What next…

  9. Looks just like a spreading virus under a microscope.

  10. Those lands will be extra fertile when Ukraine regains them.

  11. Remember the 5th November is only a week away.Harris will be in support long range missile strikes and Biden will press the button as a leaving present for Vladimirovich.

  12. The wrong kind of progress, but still they’ve only moved ~50 km or so further into Ukraine. It’s not the Blitz

  13. Unfortunately some of the gains it’s because of mistakes done by Ukrainian commanders that are still reading the urss tactic book…there’s the case of the Azov leader that named one and after a few days the guy was transferred, and there’s probably more…not everyone it’s a Paton…

  14. I am sure I played this game on my Atari 800 in the 1980’s.

  15. Like terminal cancer the Russians spread through Ukraine destroying everything they touch. May gold bless Vladimir putin with sore testicles and bad cramps

  16. This is like when reporters try to sensationalise the movement in a share price by viewing a chart by 1 minute timescales.

  17. Meanwhile our own useless government is crying like a bitch about giving them longer range missiles. We are so ashamed of the cowardice of politicians while they pose in front of our national flag for photo ops. Traitors, the lot of them :/

  18. Great animation, but very tightly zoomed. Russia’s gains look far less impressive when you look at Ukraine as a whole.

  19. At what costs the war is taken. I hope russia will get tired of putin and end his reign of terror.

  20. Yeah it sucks, at least it takes them a good amount of dudes.

  21. Lets not forget USA protection of Russia pays a huge role here. UA is fighting on two fronts, war front with Russia and diplomatic front with USA. Vietnam at least had support from China and Soviet Union…

  22. russians advances really seem to have accelerated in recent weeks/months. Not looking good

  23. It doesn’t matter if ukraine will receive F-35 or whatever as long as they still have way much less manpower to fight in the fields as russia si willing to throw in. Even if 3 russians die for each ukrainian it’s not enough as putin regime is keeping buying poor people of whose life doesn’t matter a lot, and they live from a day to another, and russia is big with so many of those people. Now they also have north korean troops, which is linked to the elections in US so the NATO wont do much about it as they are afraid they might have something to lose over it.

  24. It’s going to get way worse if Trump wins the election. I really hope Europe intervenes/provide way more support and aid if it gets too bad. Start by allowing strikes within Russia.

  25. F16s still have to play a bigger role

Hopefully Ukraine has made preparations deep in front of its lines to hammer down on the Russians as soon when they come in range. Like fixed artillery pieces or whatever idk.

Russia can monitor troop movement but not that well deeper inside Ukraine. So I really hope there will be some surprises waiting for them.

  26. America’s politicians need to get their shit together, remove restrictions on Ukraine’s use of weapons.

  27. Land for time, its inevitable unfortantly but Ukraine has no other viable option until the Russians Collapse or the West gives them the green to hit the good stuff.

  28. It accelerates mid to end August, while in the beginning of August Ukrainian army captured Kurs. Is it a mere coincidence?

  29. The problem is that Ukraine doesn’t have enough man to hold the ground. Otherwise they wouldn’t escalate the recruitment process. The reality is that every day it gets harder and harder to find people ready to fight. WSJ had a good cover today about it.

Even with heavy Russian losses, Ukraine cannot sustain this war. Either they need to turn into some sort of authoritarian state, or negotiate, or get 3rd county army (like North Korea).
