They’re going at rapid speed toward pariah status
The most moral army are preventing food water and medicine from making it into Gaza, very moral.
Seriously though, they’ve limited what gets into Gaza for years, and Israeli citizens have been blocking aid personally since Oct. 7. Israel fundamentally wants genocide, and will ignore every obstacle in their way.
Can UWNRA operate from Egypt and Jordan? Gaza and West Bank share borders there.
I get it that they are used to working with Israel. But it is clear that Israel doesn’t trust UWNRA given their belief that the agency is compromised by employees who work for/with terrorists.
Given that this is a UN agency, and both Egypt and Jordan are UN members, why not have them step up?
UNRWA is compromised but banning it right now is a bad decision. Let’s hope they don’t put this into implementation and hedge out a better alternative before the actual implementation. They can bring some other agency into the fold that is better at making sure aid doesn’t end up in the hands of Hamas or is at least more careful about people they hire.
Oh, I see.. So NOW they are ” occupied areas under Israel’s control,” huh? That’s interesting, man, that’s interesting. Because they weren’t before Oct 7th, right?
