I got this painting in a charity shop for £1 anf there is no information about the painting so am curious to know more about it.
From what I have found so far it is of Tyrol in Austria and seems to be inspired by Alfons Walde – does anyone know of the painter or any further information at all?
Would really appreciate any information 🙂
Thanks!

Have you checked under the frame or on the back for a signature?
I’d also try asking the charity store.

You sure about that? I don’t know much about art, but Waldes works have a very distinctive style, while the painting above looks like a generic landscape-painting. It actually looks more like [Hitlers paintings](https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/480/cpsprodpb/9E90/production/_105329504_hi051871586.jpg.webp) lol
Looks like it could just be from some random artist. Seen a lot of paintings like this in tyrolian homes, hotels, etc. In many hotels and the like it‘s often some artist from the region when it comes to such generic landscape paintings.
This is village is Heiligenblut am Großglockner
Even so many people think it’s Heiligenblut, I think it’s Fulpmes with the Elferspitze and the Stubai Glacier in the background.
Edit: I looked up the churches in the valley and it fits the one in Telfes

Art historian here, what is on the back side? Are there any inscriptions, signatures, dates?
As others commented it could just be made by a lesser known artist, but check the frame and recto for anything noteworthy, it might give you the best hints 🙂
