It’s not the racism, it’s the consequences.

  1. Push the envelope.
    Pretend to be outraged.
Push the envelope further next time.

    And so it goes.

  2. I keep hoping we will get to the “finding out” phase of fuck around and find out, but they just keep fucking around with no consequences.

  3. If the guy’s supposed to be an “insult comic” that insults everyone, what offensive shit did he say about rural white people?

I mean, if he’s supposed to be insulting *everyone*, right? Like he said?

  4. They approved the jokes. They vetted the comedian. They knew exactly what he was going to say.

  5. They approved it and threw it on the teleprompter. They are just backing tracking their Nazi propaganda because people are finally noticing.

  6. In the sad world of Right-wing comedy hurling racist slurs is considered high art. None of the “comedians” they hire have any appeal outside their bubble but they don’t realize it.

  7. Are people forgetting the racism from the other speakers? I think Steven Miller was also extremely ghoulish while being racist. The maga republicans are openly racist these days because their base eats it up.

  8. Maybe it’ll make the Trumpfucks feel better about their gaffe to know that I already knew they were racist before the “jokes”.

  9. The bad thing is, if he disavows the racist pos then he alienates 75% of his base. He’s kinda fked

  10. It’s ALWAYS about the consequences. Everything these people have done since Nixon, has been to remove themselves from being held accountable for their own behavior and actions. They inject “values” BS as justifications, but the overriding theme is always that they want a world where they themselves are always right and never do wrong.

  11. They played to their crowd. They fed the words into the teleprompter, they saw what was going to be said. They knew their crowd would love it.

There’s no back peddling from this. You own it.

  12. Or it’s how you throw an election. I figured after the second assassination attempt you just do what they say.

  13. Yeah when you have a stadium full of people booing, who all agree with your thought process, you know you messed up.

  14. 1) He read from a teleprompter so someone put his jokes in their system
    2) They rejected him calling Harris a c**t so some review and approved the rest
    3) No one of any significance within the campaign has publicly disavowed anything.

So yeah…they approve of what he said

  15. He was reading from a teleprompter. They knew what he was going to say. He was also asked not to call Harris a c*nt, which was originally in his material.

  16. He was already a notorious racist.

The Trump campaign invited him knowing that.

They vetted his speech and apparently put it on the teleprompter.

They didn’t cut his mic, pull him offstage, or apologize/disavow him immediately after he finished his speech.

They put other racists on stage to say *more* racist shit.

    Including Donald Trump.

    “Rejects and disavows,” my ass.

  17. Don’t ask for permission, ~~ask for forgiveness later~~ gaslight the shit out of people into thinking that *you’re* the evildoers because you had the *audacity* to call us out
