  1. Sadly, I donโ€™t think the West will take climate change seriously enough before catastrophes like this happen more and more frequently in the West.

It should have been taken seriously already years ago, but back then most of the negative effects happened in third world countries, so no one cared.

  2. WOW! I was a flood victim when I was a child (9 years old) It was in Badajoz (Spain) and 20 or 22 people died. These pictures are giving me “Vietnam flashbacks” ๐Ÿ™

  3. That is horrible disaster.

The fact that we dont have live streams of flood on YT shows how sudden, vile and unexpected that was.

  4. Friends of mine in Villarreal and in Valencia say it all happened so fast, in just a few minutes, and the destruction is crazy. Cars piled up everywhere, all the stuff in people’s homes, on the ground floor, got washed away into the streets. Worst for me was seeing the footage from inside an old folk’s home this morning, with the old folks sitting in wheelchairs and armchairs in the dining room, up to their kneews in muddy water.

  5. When floodings happened in Italy media keep saying it was a low preventional infrastructure system fault, now I hope after this everyone will realize this isnt normal and that the mediterranean area is getting the worse effects of climate change

  6. This is horrible! I hope EU and governments send help fast.

Climate change is the biggest thread we face and we really need to change things fast.

  7. Nice cropping of the images. I see you put 0 effort in it, considering the Samsung buttons are at the bottom, and the actual image is only 40% of the Reddit image.
    Sloppy work, mister reporter
