  1. no problem / everybody continue to buy big cars and consume more than necessary

  2. This is terrifying. So much destruction 🙁 I hope the number of victims stays as low as possible and that the coming days will allow everyone affected to stay safe.

  3. 400ml of rainfall in a few hours, almost the 1 year average of that area. Absolutely insane.

  4. For those who ask, what we can do to help (them)?
Stop voting for stupid populists and „patriots“.

Vote for parties which have a strong tendency for climate change preventions.

This is, like once the FCKW problem, a global problem.

  5. This is impressive, and also quite sad.

The worst is we know it won’t stop there, and Spain was already aware of all these risks, and yet nothing has been done to prevent any of that.

  6. No worries. Climate change is faux. Keep burning the dinosaur juice.

  7. And it’s going to be like this and even worse for ever. Thank your local politicians for that.

  8. Absolutely gobsmacked by the images coming from Valencia.

  9. Looking at the rainfall numbers, this must have happened so fast. It’s a terrible situation.

  10. what the fuck… two ton hunks of metal being carried away by the water ruins all sense of intuition about nature, these extreme weather events really are mind boggling

  11. You know what they are going to need after this?
    Tourists.

  12. Deepest condolences and support to Spain, it is the horrible tragedy. The humanity should definitely pay more attention to climate issues, because they are worsening.

  13. Floods we had here in Czechia feel like nothing in comparison with this. Water picked up only few crewed cars here, dont want to know how many it did here. Iam glad we had good forecast.

  14. DONT WORRY GUYS, NOTHING TO SEE HERE, THE CLIMATE IS FINE

  15. Looks like this is becoming a yearly phenomenon in the Mediterranean.

September 2023, and I think also in September in 2020 a similar phenomenon of record rainfall happened in Thessaly, central Greece. Iirc last year after the storm tore the shit out of Thessaly it eventually ended up in North Africa.
