Vote for parties which have a strong tendency for climate change preventions.

Valencia city would be gone without the new riverbed for the Turia river which was constructed after the last big floods which were less than this one.

Tourists.

Deepest condolences and support to Spain, it is the horrible tragedy. The humanity should definitely pay more attention to climate issues, because they are worsening.
Floods we had here in Czechia feel like nothing in comparison with this. Water picked up only few crewed cars here, dont want to know how many it did here. Iam glad we had good forecast.

Looks like this is becoming a yearly phenomenon in the Mediterranean.
September 2023, and I think also in September in 2020 a similar phenomenon of record rainfall happened in Thessaly, central Greece. Iirc last year after the storm tore the shit out of Thessaly it eventually ended up in North Africa.

The tornado is NOT from yesterday’s severe weather. It happened back in August in El Toro. See [BBC](https://www.bbc.com/news/videos/cd1911vwy1no) for example.

[New riverbed before and now](https://cdn.xcancel.com/pic/orig/media%2FGbJnpN5WcAA9le7.jpg) usually dry and hated by locals and tourists because an eyesore. it’s doing its job 60 years after construction.
