  1. So every time Ukraine suffers these kind of losses the west unlocks new tools for Ukraine. I wonder what we are going to give them this time in numbers too little to turn the tide but big enough to go back to the status quo (stalemate).

  2. If you were a Russian in a rocket-launcher truck and your threat warning system said there was an inbound jet, would you look at the screen and say “thank goodness it’s only an F-16”?

The weapons load capabilities of the F-16 is why Ukraine specifically asked for them.

  3. Russia can keep this war going on forever. Ukraine can’t. Either we help Ukraine now or we will have fight ourselves in the future.

  4. Russia is on a speed run trying to secure as much territory as possible prior to the US election. they are praying for a Trump victory so they can freeze their territorial gains.

  5. Russians are evolving their attack tactics recently. Instead of fighting for every house and street like Bakhmut, they try to encircle the villages or towns and give the Ukrainians two options- stay and fight while cut off from supplies and reinforces or withdraw through the only path left by the Russians who then attack the fleeing Ukrainians inflicting heavy losses.

  6. NATO is going to have to get directly involved eventually if Ukraine is getting to the point of capitulation. Under no circumstance does it benefit anyone in the West if Ukraine loses.

But NATO won’t do it before the US election, and I also think they should commit before Harris takes office.

Let Biden take the political hit from those right-wing voters who would rather Russia win than get involved in another war. The timing would also give Harris a bit of cover for 2026/2028 if the sentiments among right-wing voters haven’t changed from pro-Putin.

So dumb though… If there was any other Republican leading the party, other than Trump or some other Putin worshipper, those same voters would be drumming the beats of war, and we’d already have boots on the ground.

However, if Trump wins this election, Ukraine’s European allies will be completely on their own and they may choose to directly intervene in Ukraine on their own, because they’ll no longer need to placate the American voter. If Europe never intervenes, then fuck them, honestly. The US won’t be coming a third time across the ocean, if Russia keeps up the momentum across eastern Europe. Trump will see to that.

  7. I am 100% convinced that the west is deliberately giving Ukraine just enough to make this an even fight, hoping that a protracted war for years will deplete the Russian stockpile of Soviet weapons. I hope I am wrong, but whenever there is a Russian breakthrough, then the west will reassess and deliver more weapons to prevent an eventual frontline collapse.

Ukraines best chance to win this war is with homegrown weapons development of tactical drones and strategic drones/missiles. They need to destroy the Russian Air Force at the tarmac, no matter how far that may be.

  8. Never thought I’d see the day that a potential American president would side with the Kremlin

  9. This conflict will not be settled on the battlefield, it will be ended when Putin’s cronies have had enough of him.
In the meantime lots of people are maimed and die.

  10. Gotta love USA giving piece meal assistance to Ukraine while Russia is just getting free soldiers form another country

  11. Maybe VW can repurpose some factories.. they don’t know what to do there anyways.

  12. I don’t see why the US can’t sink North Korean ammo supply boats with our subs. They couldn’t do anything about it other than make empty threats like they always do.

  13. has anyone prepared a video timeline showing the map with territory gained / lost that’s up to date… I have a hard time visualising these things.

  14. Time and time again in its small period of existence the US has moved to an isolation stance and stayed out of World Conflicts only to then have to join them later due to economic and military threats growing to a point they have to join. At that point the economic and human cost in dead citizens is excruciating. If you ignore lessons from history, you’re living on borrowed time.

Only the US citizens can decide on this at their presidential election but the ramifications for the whole world are terrible. Europe and in particular Poland will never allow Russia to fully occupy Ukraine and we will have a war in Europe which when China seizes the opportunity to take Taiwan by force will result in a massive global recession and a probable decent to World War. The US economy will collapse and the US will have no choice but to join the frey. That is if it hasn’t already descended to its own second civil war.

If it joins, it will once again be late to the party and the cost in lives will be immense. A world war in a time of nuclear possession is quite probably an existential event for the earth. I don’t think many Americans gazing at their navels has any concept of what is possibly at stake.

  15. Ukraine lost. Many of us knew this over a year ago but were shamed on reddit for saying it.

  16. Idk they’ve been moving like a snail towards Pokrovsk all summer. Seems likely it’ll hold until winter. Have the Russians retaken Sudza?

ISW says 14 Sq kilometers a day, so they’ll conquer the rest of the Donbas by 2040.
