SS: The U.S. Marine Corps recently conducted its first live-fire drill using Israel’s Iron Dome system, successfully intercepting various targets. This exercise, part of a U.S. Army project, tested the Iron Dome’s radar, command systems, and a mobile launcher tailored for the Marines.
The drill demonstrated Iron Dome’s capability to intercept cruise missiles, drones, and projectiles, marking a key step toward deploying a Marine-specific Iron Dome battery in the future.
They are gaining some very valuable real-world experience in how to operate THAAD, Iron Dome, etc. type systems which they can bring back to the US, or to various US bases in the middle east, etc.
Great use of our taxpayer dollars. Now we’ll be able to sleep peacefully when the next barage of scud missiles comes launch sites in Toronto
