This picture – arrow shows the Clonduff Estate. The waste ground on the bottom left is the proposed site of the Irish Language School. Not exactly on each others door step or in the estate.
So insecure.
Disguising cowardly behaviour
if a language makes you this uncomfortable then the entire foundation of your so called identity is a farce.
rediculous cunts.
I take it the school wouldn’t have been placed if the demand wasnt there?
Imagine paying a company to make this sign.
I heard 5 year old Irish speakers are going to haunt Unionist areas tonight!
Scare the Christ out of them… “DIA DUIT!!” đź‘»
Has the whiff of Holy Cross about it
I’m as tolerant as the next guy, but I couldn’t be expected to live in a place with bilingual children. That’s a bridge too far.
What if they were speaking Irish when I was passing by? What would happen then, eh?
The colour coding on this sign is secretly communicating that they want the Irish school. Make it an integrated Irish school. Everyone welcome. Done!
I was raised a prod but I’m Irish. It’s where I’m from, and I love it. I love the music, I’ve been learning the language, I enjoy the GAA (proud Ard Mhacha woman). But then I do have an open mind, and that’s the difference.
Can’t even believe people go to so much effort making this sign. They’d need to get over themselves
Loyalist culture is so open minded
Why don’t they leave Unionist areas too while at it…fucking rancid scum
I wonder how easy it is to find the company that printed this sign and have them prosecuted personally for the hate crime this is.
There are people from both backgrounds, Catholic and Protestant (and other religions of course) who live in East Belfast and would be sending their kids to this school.
The more inclusivity like this the better. Signs like these show that some are afraid of people moving on. They need to wise the fuck up.
Amadáin.
“If my mother tongue is shaking the foundations of your state, it probably means that you built your state on my land.”
Sick of these bigots. It’s getting built and that’s the end of it. If they don’t like Irish in Ireland, they can go away.
Choice isn’t a bad thing, those opposed should leave those who are interested in the option to avail of it if they wish. Those who aren’t can opt for another option if they wish.
Like anything else, take or leave it.
Being bilingual has nothing but benefits.
My god the hateful bigots are awake again.
Some people are pathetic individuals.
So does this mean loyalist areas don’t need education?
Surely if there is no demand the school wouldn’t be built, or would close shortly after opening.
What truly miserable lives the people who put this up must lead; complete and utter oxygen thieves.
This is very sad indeed. They will drown in their ignorance and be forgotten by history.

Cowards. Disgraceful behaviour from supposed adults.
