  1. Makes sense. Nowhere near south africa though, home pv installs with battery is easily 100%

    When you don’t have regular power it’s a strong incentive..

  2. BESS is booming in Europe. 2024 was an extremely volatile year for electric prices with record breaking negative prices because of the big growth in PV. This leads to a very high IRR for BESS systems and they’re coming online in a record pace.

  3. The domestic feed in tariffs in Germany are fairly low these days so you need to be able to use the power yourself. It adds about 50% to the cost and then will last about ten years max.
