As a representative of the Dutch people, I’d like to apologise for Ome Geert. He has just been in the parliament the longest and got chosen.
It’s like that older colleague at your supermarket job who thinks he’s the boss but he is just the oldest working there

English being the Lingua France of the world really made people forget that objectively English looks just as dumb, it’s just that most of the world understands it and doesn’t see the dumbness anymore because they got used to it
