  1. Hmmmm, almost like it’s a bad idea to throw soldiers from a country that hasn’t seen any combat since the 50s against an army that has been fighting non stop for the last 2 and half years.

  2. “Putin deceived our Great Leader.”, he says. Would I have news for that guy. No, he didn’t deceive your leader. Kim knew exactly what would happen to the troops he sent.

  3. This is pretty morbid, but you’ve gotta wonder what the first NK soldier to get merced by an FPV drive was thinking. 🤔

  4. This is why they were sent there. To die. Calling it now that the reason they are using North Korean soldiers is two-fold

First off it gives Russia a massive pool of meat grinder troops to stall the battle lines. While they prepare their recent drum up of over 100,000 new soldiers. Takes time to get them close to the front and this guarantees Russia doesn’t have to use their own troops while they prepare.

Second it gives North Korea all the propaganda material they need. Letting their news with how their sons are dying at the hands of the “evil Western capitalist pigs” they have been warned about all their lives. Creating anger and fear.

North Korea can’t just launch a war against the South with a lackadaisical, underfed and ill trained trained army. But NK knows if they get the people scared and angry enough they just have to open the gates. They will act accordingly.

South Korea is likely the final lure to drag the US into a war on China’s terms.

  5. MAN.

It’s amazing how humanity is set up. Hundreds of thousands can die because of one (or a few) person(s).

As I type this, there are many people who are close enough to Putin and Kim to be able to put a bullet in their heads at any time of the day.

It would end both their regimes and curb the loss of life in NK, Russia, and Ukraine.

But they won’t, and hundreds of thousands more, no-combatants and children included, will die.

    It’s simply amazing.

  6. Kim doesn’t care about his soldiers. They’re just bodies to him and another way to reinforce his propaganda against the west.

That the DPRK troops were annihilated is no surprise. They have zero actual combat experience and virtually no training budget. They spent roughly $4B on their entire military in 2019.

    Ukraine spent $44B last year.

South Korea spent $48B in 2023.

Basically, North Korea is scarcely better equipped to fight a war than the Boy Scouts.

  7. Those bastards. Imagine being beside your brother as his head was blown off? Beside both brothers as they died?? So that now you have no family left? Hopefully they rot in hell. (All the ones who put the soldiers in that position, that is).

  8. devils advocate, what if Kim knew this was the outcome but sent them anyway to thin the herd of trouble makers and get the political capital of sending troops. He has nothing to loose but men that may have already been an issue for his policy of ruling the nation of starving people.

  9. He is surprisingly informed and uses terms we in the West would use. I wonder if he truly said those things, such as “meat grinder” baby yaga, etc.

How would he even know what attacked them, when they just arrived at the front and hadn’t received updates from the world for decades?

  10. Don’t tell me yall are falling for this. It’s obvious propaganda.

What he says is just too perfect for what we want to hear. I smell bullshit.

  11. I thought this was confirmed by several Korean Speakers yesterday to be bullsh*t! The Koreans do not use terms such as “meat grinder” & “baby yaga”!

  12. I feel sad for that NK soilder. A war he probably knew nothing about. Watch his brother blow up. Hid under their bodies. Got lied to by their “ally”. Yeah he’s probably brainwashed but he clearly didn’t want to be there.

  13. Would the north Koreans use terms like baba yaga, and meat grinder? I’m just curious.

  14. I mean we are talking about NATO not getting involved more with escalation and then we have NK troops getting liquidated.

  15. Watch that video in the article if anyone hasn’t – chilling to hear a first reaction from someone unfamiliar with the war

  16. None of what he is saying is actually in the subtitles. He is saying shit sucks but not with those words

  17. Well well. Who could have guessed?! They don’t understand the Russians, so there is basically zero communication. They don’t know anything about modern warfare (it turns out iron abs and synchronized marching are not effective defense against drones and artillery). And they probably have to deal with xenophobic/ racist Russian soldiers and command.

    What could go wrong?!

These troops are just a liability. I think Russia would actually be better off without them.

  18. What if kim is actually on the ukrainian side. His troops die or defect and make the russians lose even more.

  19. Looks like he lost an eye, and has other extensive injuries. He is the lucky one.

Putin thinks, “39 North Koreans killed, and 40 Ukrainian bullets expended. That is a win for Russia.” He literally seems to think that bullets and artillery shells are worth more than human lives.

  20. I know this sounds crazy (because it is) but going to this war is an incredibly high risk high reward scenario for NK soldiers. Either they die, or they become some of the very few NK soldiers who have ever seen combat, and get fast tracked to the highest ranks.
