The issue is with these valuations, based on income. For example a valuation of a farm for say 3m is purely based on sellable land, so an asset. But if you are intending to use all that as farming, it’s only worth what the cash flow and books, state – right? Why not remove the tax, go back to what it was but if the farm usage changes, then the tax comes into play? To me, that’s fair
If they take this laying down then we’re screwed. I hope they dig in and fight.
