Breakthrough electronic music star Mochakk has released his remix of Foster the People’s latest single, “Lost in Space,” today via Atlantic Records.
Known for his genre-blending sound and dynamic live performances, Mochakk has transformed the track by introducing his signature fusion of nostalgic synths and futuristic electronic elements, while remaining true to the soulful essence of the original. The remix has been teased recently on Mochakk’s social media, generating great anticipation among fans for this release, which promises to unveil yet another side of Mochakk’s artistry.
LMochakk, born Pedro Maia, developed his eclectic musical sensibilities in São Paulo, where skateparks and fashion school played integral roles in his early exposure to electronic music. His remix of “Lost in Space” reinterprets the vocals with a house music edge, while pulsing claps and layered synths infuse the track with dancefloor-ready energy. Mochakk’s unique style shines as he pays homage to Foster the People’s nod to the 1970s, blending elements of disco, funk, and jazz with a futuristic soundscape that appeals to today’s electronic music fans.
The original “Lost in Space” is a new release from Foster the People, marking the iconic band’s first single in over three years and their debut on Atlantic Records. Co-created by Mark Foster and Isom Innis, the single is part of the band’s fourth studio album, Paradise State of Mind, which was released in August.
This remix is another chapter in Mochakk’s journey as he continues to build his profile through global tours, high-profile releases and collaborations, and his Mochakk Calling event series. Known for creating collaborative experiences and bringing together local scenes in cities like NYC, Paris, Amsterdam, and São Paulo, Mochakk’s artistry shines both on and off the stage.
