Before Russia can come to the negotiating table they need all of the Donbas and they need to retake the territory they lost in Kursk. So perhaps next autumn we’ll see peace negotiations begin in earnest once the smoke in the battlefield has cleared.

Negotiation is some the most likely outcome of this, regardless who wins. The US, nor anyone, is going to send troops to Ukraine.
Right now one of two things will happen:
1. Negotiations will fallen to end the war
2. Western support will fade and Ukraine will capitulate via force
Putin of course would insist on bringing his own table with room for 600 when space for 30 is needed.

Even if Russia wins, expect Ukraine to be a terrorist organization striking targets held by Russia for years to come. It’s time to give Ukraine the resources to take down Russia and then fund the countries around it to minimize Russia.

False, if Trump wins, Putin doesn’t have to negotiate. He already has is puppet in place.
Here is the thing: Putin cannot negotiate. In 2020 he has signed a law that basically states that any surrender or transfer of the territory of the Russian federation is treason. Under any circumstances. In 2022, after the Russian army has captured sizeable chunks of Ukraine he has declared them all to be Russian territory. Soon after AFU has recaptures some of the lost land.
Therefore any negotiation between Russia and Ukraine will have to start with “give what we deem as ours back”. This will be the mantra on both sides. And Putin cannot give even a square inch of that land because otherwise he will be declared traitor and will be removed from power by whatever enemies he now has inside of his circle. The Ukrainians, on the other hand, would not want to cede any part of their country either. Not after what happened. Therefore any negotiation at this stage is simply at an impasse and any man or woman that tells you otherwise is simply lying.
He won’t need to if Trump wins.

Where does this assumption that Trump will change USA policy from Harris and Biden in this war come from?
He will end up like Saddam and Ghadaffi!
At this point no reason to. The offensive is working and people are losing interest. Only hope for Ukraine is that Trump loses and we can get lift these ridiculous restrictions.
Not even Putin bothers to lie about that he’s interested in ending the war so any politician suggesting that negotiating with Putin will stop Ukrainian civilians from being murdered are on the same team as Orban.

He is hoping trump wins so America stops all support for Ukraine and the front collapses. We need Harris to win and to aggressively oppose Russia any way possible.
