  1. OOOOOOOOOOOOH

What a SHIT TITLE for a news article.

Woman has cosmetic surgery which the NHS refuses to do. She does it privately it goes wrong and she gets an infection. NHS also refuses to treat it, get’s it resolved privately.

Better title would be “Woman faces consequences for having unnecessary and risky cosmetic surgery.”

  2. > One little vain decision

To me, a little decision is whether to go to the Sainsbury’s local round the corner or the Aldi in town. Lasagne or Spag Bol for tea. That kind of thing. Not whether to pump my arse full of shite.

  3. By the state of the fish lips I’d wager she already has a machete wound down there tbf.

  4. Why did the NHS refuse to treat the wound and clinical symptoms that had developed? Surely that goes against the NHS’s founding principles and her legal right to treatment?

    > 1. The NHS provides a comprehensive service, available to all

    > 2. Access to NHS services is based on clinical need, not an individual’s ability to pay

    > 3. The NHS aspires to the highest standards of excellence and professionalism

    > 4. The patient will be at the heart of everything the NHS does

I understand why the NHS wouldn’t do the cosmetic surgery, and frankly I agree. But it’s concerning she (allegedly) was refused treatment for a genuine clinical complaint.
