Hey, my name is Martina and I have worked the past 3 years as a full time cat carer at Lady Dinah's Cat Emporium!

I spend the day caring for around 20 rescue cats, providing everything from basic care to medicine and treatments, dealing with adoptions and interactions with guests!

My day-to-day job is to help the cats socialise and play with people, while telling each of their stories to everyone. Here's a video for you to enjoy about a day in the life of a cat carer

The AMA will begin on Thursday 7th November from 4pm GMT. I'll be answering questions live from the cat cafe, although I can't promise the cats wont make it all about themselves.

  2. That’s cute. Nice contrast to today’s news! What breed would you say is the most social able in your view? We used to have Burmese cats which were very loyal and would follow us around

  3. Hey Martina, do the cats form friendships with each other or do they mostly keep to themselves? Do you have to swap out the cats like in shifts to keep them engaged?

  5. Aww that video is so cute! Based upon my two babies I’m surprised the cats all seem so chilled! Do they ever steal each other’s food? And how do you groom a cat that doesn’t love it?

  8. Ohhh, nice! I visited Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium a few weeks ago when I was in London. It was such a lovely afternoon, and all the cats were adorable. I even recognized a few of them in the video!
    And although your face isn’t fully visible, I think my friend and I may have spoken with you ☺️

  9. Slightly weirder question than others.. have you ever had to deal with ringworm in the cafe?! I am currently having to quarantine my two newly adopted kittens after catching it from them 🙁 I feel so sad that I can’t cuddle them more and the baths are traumatic 😭 the cleaning routine is also overwhelming!! Any inspo or motivational words would be greatly received ❤️

  10. What kind of experience or qualifications would a person need for this type of job? Do you also serve food/drink or are you 100% cat oriented

    I work in IT and envy this kind of job
