As a Dutchman it makes me very happy that we don’t have to spend any money to get the best military protection on the continent. Thank you Hans, Pierre and Barry 🫶

  1. What is that little orange thingy right under our glorious country and why is it also protected?

  2. Dude, one of your “protectors” (the pirate one) was planning a raid on your warehouses the other day…

  3. You think you’re safe until Germany take you up the arse by surprise while France watch.

  4. I dont get it? We pay 2,5% of our GDP towards defence… And we’re the 8fh economy in the world.

  5. Wait, do you really think we are in a position to defend you? Defend ourselves?! Hahaha… no.

  6. Wim, you have F-35s. You are definitely not “not spending any money” for your military. But since your country is so small, it’s just not as expensive. In short, we’re just suffering from success.

  7. Thanks Barry, you’re welcome to jump off our balcony everytime you want. I’m sure Amsterdam is still happy to host your stag parties

  8. Same with Ireland – we even have to use the royal navy to defend their waters from russian submarines

  9. The German get the swamp German, the French get the speedbump French, everybody happy, everybody pay for the damn fighter plane.

  10. As a Hans it is very comforting to know that the best way to invade the french atlantic beaches during our summer vacation remains the route through the Netherlands. Jan is always so very welcoming when we show up unannounced.

  11. [2024 military spending as a share of GDP:](https://www.nato.int/nato_static_fl2014/assets/pdf/2024/6/pdf/240617-def-exp-2024-en.pdf)

    – Germany: 2.12%
    – France: 2.06%
    – UK: 2.33%
    – Netherlands: 2.05%

I’m not really sure what this post is based on. We have upped our spending massively, along with Germany. We both had absolutely shit militaries in the past decade.

And besides, we are very much *not protected*. A shitload of energy and communications infrastructure lies on the bottom of the North Sea. Russian warships are regularly spotted floating above our cables. They only have to cut through some of those and our internet or electricity can be gone for multiple days, massively derailing our economy and defence.

  12. Bro, Hans uses mounted wooden training guns because they don’t have enough for their assault vehicles. There are ~50,000 US troops in Germany compared to ~56,000 Heer in Germany (and ~8,000 Heer outside Germany). They aren’t there yet.

  13. Yet you’ve got your back to the camp fruity homosexuals of Germany and your Bottom to blouse wearing poncey homosexuals of France…

    Explain yourself Jan

  14. Germany spends €63,7 milliard on military in 2024.
Their GDP is €4456 milliard (2023).
That is only 1,43% of their GDP.

We spend €24 milliard on military in 2024.
Our GDP is €1118 milliard (2023).
That is 2.15% of our GDP.

To match Germany’s €63,7 milliard, we would be spending 5,70% of our GDP.

  15. You’re not paying anything because you have finally admitted being our weird swampy cousins and rejoined our happy little family.

  16. Most Germans i know take what they have for granted and wouldn’t even fight to protect their own community.
I can’t count the times I’ve heard a German say that everyone who fights is stupid and that they would flee or surrender.

What a disgrace to the millions that have died so we can live in prosperity and are not slaves who have to work in a coal mine for 15 hours a day for 5 potatoes.

    Good luck relying on us

  17. You still are spending more than 2% of you GDP on military.

  18. Did you miss the big border with white? That’s the sea, with which you Swamp Dwellers are always in a state of total warfare.

And what if the Sea Peoples return?
    Or the Vikings?

  19. Yeah, because these specific three countries don’t have the historical bad habit of invading their neighbors

  20. I’m happy we swedes have the best armed forces in the world protecting us (Finland) 🙂

  21. I’m just glad that we have the Finnish to our east, they never stopped being hard-as-nails after the war in 1809, and didn’t let their guard down after the Iron Curtain fell.

As always: Finlands sak är vår / Finlands cause is ours (as well).
