What are these that are stuck on the lids. Is this to prevent shoplifting?

  1. You must shop in a bad part of town, when the Penny feels the need to protect their store brand jam.

  2. These are security label tags primarily used for anti-theft and inventory tracking. They contain RFID, which can be detected by scanners placed at store entrances to help prevent shoplifting. You can read more about them in the links below.

  3. lol, just remove the lid and take the bottom. Normally there is foil sealing it under the cap anyway. I mean lol, I think that jam is like 2 euros max cost lol

  4. I live in a quiet small town and witnessed a vodka theft in my local netto the other day. Full on with a guy being chased down the street by a fairly slow running cashier. It was quite the thrill to watch.

  5. You know the economy is bad when Penny decided to add security stickers to their own products

  6. I once as a kid found a strip of These stickers at a store and stuck them to the most random items i could find and had a giggle on the way home thinking someone would Beep leaving the store with a Pack of bread (but later i felt sorry),

  7. Do you live in the Frankfurt hauptbahnhof or something? It’s dire when the store brand jam has theft protection.
