I’ve got the best ratings ever. Everybody’s saying it. I’ve seen numbers up to 80%, 90%, 100%. Some even show more than 100% are in favor, can you believe that? It’s a beautiful thing.
Is this divided further into party lines somewhere?
Because I’m willing to bet MAGA thinks everything is great now with everyone else staring in horror. Which would be a perfect flip from before Trump’s rule.
As if it will matter when Drumpf is actively defying the supreme court and throwing brown people in jail and ripping them from there homes and rigging elections.
He could be polling at 20%. It’s too late.
…and no one will care. The US is broken.
“‘worst set of polling data’ of his entire presidency” so far…
This sort of poll will bother him, but he’ll just go after the pollsters and journalists who broadcast the results, not change what he’s doing to earn those results.
You know what they call the most unpopular President in US history?
Mr. President
A US President’s powers aren’t tied to his popularity numbers. Trump is just as dangerous to America no matter how many or how few people “like” him.
PBS totally caved. Last night Amy Goodman and the other commenter were totally sucking up saying his polls had a bright side for him, both grinning nervously. Guess they don’t want to take a plane trip to Central America.
Aww America
You think polling matters, as if there’s going to be a real election
It’s almost cute
I can’t believe how far this country has fallen in just 3 months.
It’s generally true that the first 6-12 months of the economy is because of policies of the previous administration. Policy works slow. The difference here is that Trump is taking unprecedented action and it’s easy to see the immediate consequences on leading indicators. Add in that Trump is an attention whore who always needs to peacock for the MAGA base online and on TV, it’s easy to understand why people immediately blame him. It’s because he is at fault here.
The messed up part is that those defending him are trying to tell people that this will just be short term pain but what people’s idea of short term pain is probably different than what those people are claiming. The tide is going really far out to sea and many are not preparing themselves for the tsunami that’s coming. The turmoil in the markets is the warning not the consequence. When that wave comes in it’s going to be really bad.
Good thing polling data has an impact on how a president’s actions.
Let me guess, his approval rating “collapsed” to ~45%
So?
Are there any *materialistic* consequences for this?
His useful idiot MAGA followers have served their purpose now it’s time to throw them under the bus like pretty much everyone he’s ever worked with.
Trump is intoxicated with the power ceded to him by Congress. He’s not concerned about his polling.
I bet he would be pretty worried if he had any plans to allow any more elections to happen ever.
By June of next year, there will be constant renewed attacks on the legitimacy of elections. Immigrants are voting, or dead people, or whatever. He will declare a national emergency, the idiots will cheer, and he will issue an executive order ‘suspending’ elections for 90 days while they ‘look into the corruption and fraud’.
People will sue, courts will issue rulings, and protests will happen, but he and his fascist friends will ignore all of that. A few federal judges will disappear, maybe some Senators, a Governor or three, some lawyers, journalists, representatives, and lots of protesters all shipped to El Salvador. 90 days will come and go, and no word on elections.
On the morning news shows, this will be reported with some obligatory frowns from the corporate owned hairdos, framed as a ‘controversial new policy’, in between a cooking segment and story about a dog who learned to roller skate.
This entire administration is absolutely insane! Now they’re talking about wanting to drag American citizens to these Third World prisons if they “hate America”. I think what they mean, is that they hate Trump! It’s like 1930’s Germany except they’re paying presents to take people, because they know that America and the world is not going to sit still for them to build concentration camps!
Well yeah, he’s literally the worst possible person to have as president. An 80-year-old guy, who’s bankrupted all his businesses, only has money from real estate which he got from his daddy, can be turned into a puppet by any foreign dictator who compliments his hair, and has already been caught hording classified info in his bathroom.
& still, nothing will happen…
*Because we deserve this.*
He should be polling at zero. The damage he has done is unfathomable.
This only hurts his ego, and makes him act more rash. Direct action by the co-equal branches of government will be the legal ways to correct things.
Whether this happens, remains to be seen
I understand why they keep tracking this. But, it is obvious he nor his staff care what people think of his decisions or behaviors.
They didn’t care that he was a criminal so… 🤷🏽♀️
Does it realistically matter to him? He only became ran for president just to avoid jail time and he succeeded. He sold his soul just so he can spend the rest of his life avoiding the consequences if his actions and he doesn’t give a shit of the rest of us suffers in the process.
“TRUMP’S APPROVAL RATING COLLAPSES INTO NEVER SEEN BEFORE LOWS”
And then you look inside and its the same fucking 40% approval of morons it always is.
Really sick of these articles.
Poor polling will just cause him to be even more vindictive and irrational.
Wow! How insignificant to anything!
>One day an advisor says one thing, and the next day that same advisor says another thing, and all of a sudden Americans are picking up on this.
How incredibly infuriating that most people are just now picking up on this and not, like, 10 years ago.
Was it finally accurate
