It’s just plastic, you can break it with tools, cut it with a knife or melt it with nail varnish remover

use magnet on that small grey loose circular thingy standing out, and then twist the black and transparent parts in oposite directions in way you try to unscrew a jar lid, the wire inside should loosen and you may be able to just take that plastic cup safer off your precious whisky.

Bro I had the same shit happen to me. I was checked out by the cashier as usual. The booze was inside a carton. Little did I know they had opened it up to lock the bottle. So I couldn’t have known lol. It did beep as I walked out but I was told to just walk away with it. Unfortunately it was a gift for my friend who now probably subconsciously suspects that I’m a thief. Been 2 years and he still didn’t get the damn thing off.
Happanned to me once, i decided to saw it off at the top. I’ve succeeded.
Drill a hole through the top and put a straw inside, now you can drink 🥤

I would recommend “the universal key”
(Angle grinder with a cutoff disk for the uninitiated)
At the end of this black circle going to the side is a small lid. You can get it out with a screwdriver or something like that. Then it will reveal spring mechanism inside, just remove the spring and the whole thing will be disarmed.
