‘Princess Diana’s Iconic Dress Sells at Auction For Record Price Tag’

Selling for more than 11 times the estimate, a fan has paid $1,148,080 for the blue cocktail dress.

Jacques Azagury designed the dress, which Diana wore during a 1985 supper at Palazzo Vecchio in Florence.

The Princess wore it again just a year later when she watched her friend and opera singer Kiri Te Kanowa perform in Vancouver.
