Storm Gerrit ‘Tornado’ destroys 100 homes in major incident as 80mph winds triggers evacuations
A tornado destroyed 100 homes and sparked evacuations as Storm Gerrit triggered chaos across Britain.
A “supercell thunderstorm” crossed Greater Manchester last night causing widespread damage to properties, the Met Office said.
The forecaster said that radar evidence showing a “strong rotating updraft” suggested that a tornado was “likely”.
It added that it was awaiting data from the ground to confirm.
Greater Manchester Police said officers were called to “numerous reports of significant damage” to homes in Stalybridge, Tameside, at around 11.45pm due to a “localised tornado”.

Gotta keep pushing the climate agenda, in the last 12 months we have suffered a drought, the highest temperatures ever (from the end of the runway), warnings of "arctic blasts" and now wind and rain in december, we used to call these things SEASONS.
😂🤣 Thay ain't no tornado, that was a strong downburst from a decaying thunderstorm, accompanied by strong gusty winds, those downburst can reach 70 to 100mph in a short period of time practically minutes, then it clears.

When you heat up the atmosphere then you are adding more energy. That extra energy has to go somewhere and it goes into creating tornadoes and extreme weather conditions. This is global warming and it will get worse unless we change NOW.
Back when I was a kid in the mid sixties 4 houses lost their roofs in our road in a week they were back on. Weather did not have a scary name back them. IT WAS WEATHER.
