  1. To maintain stability and ensure adherence to international law, it is crucial for the Somali people to seek assistance and take necessary steps to deter potential aggression. By doing so, we can safeguard our sea for future generations and foster a climate of stability and respect for the rights of the Somali people.

  2. In 21th Century, this agreement should be taken as good example, for those resolve any issues by win win approach without war. So, this agreement is benefited both of them and also regional states

  3. Take this to the bank! Ethiopia is misguided full of delusions we know this was your long term goal and we STOPED you from the start. We had many battles due to you occupying some of our land to the point you had to get help from your communist friends as we weighed you up proper 10ml kicking 100ml arse like nonsense! Stop doing deals with this fake Chewing nation you recognising them doesn’t hold water! You need to come Mogadisho and deal with the winners and stop doing deals with this toothless nation

  4. Both these men have domestic problems. Both these politicians refused to hold elections in their respective countries. They know their agreement is null and void under the African and international laws.

  5. Ethiopia needs a port and even it’s land to the sea. I do not get why these neighboring countries continue to delay the development of a great African country 😢

  6. To Ethiopians,

As a Somali, we hold no personal grievances against you as INDIVIDUALS.However, when there are attempts to infringe upon our sovereignty and territorial integrity, there will be a response. While some of you express respect for Somalis, it's crucial to direct that respect towards your government and address the issues through protest. Somali people do not interfere in others' affairs; it has always been YOUR leaders involved our internal affairs for the past 50 years. Despite past actions like the Ogadenia war and the 2006 invasion attempt, we remained quiet. Considering the actions of leaders like Meles Zenawi and now Abiy, YOU expecting Somalis to be quiet ? This is unrealistic. We won't stay silent; if your leaders aren't restrained, we will take action and speak out. During the TPLF war last year, Somalia avoided unnecessary conflict to get involved in your internal affairs. We've had enough of your leaders, and unless they are held in check, we will not remain silent. It's essential to emphasize that our sovereignty, territorial integrity, and internal issues are not Ethiopian matters. Be a respectful neighbour, not one breaking international laws and consistently causing trouble and seeking expansion.

  7. It is another sad day for people of east Africa. Ahmed Abiy has destroyed ethiopia 🇪🇹 and he is destroying the region and the whole of Africa. As he said my mamma told that I will be seventh-king of Ethiopia. He want to relive time of ethiopia Kings and want conquer the region

  8. How does Somalia plan to defend its 'sovereignty" when it had no control whatsoever over Somaliland for over 30 years? If in fact it had such power, the Ethiopian government would have preferred to sign the deal with the authorities in Mogadishu. The fact is Somalia has no authority over Somaliland. Ask Somalilanders. Somalia barking at the wrong tree.

  9. 🇩🇯 an actual country recognized by the world isn’t stupid to let Ethiopia military near their country.

Somaliland is already leading the dumbest move of 2024 😂

  10. In 1970s and 1980s Somalia helped the Tigrian and Eritrean rebels that overthrew the Ethiopian military government.
Somalia, Egypt, and a host of Arab nations played a key role in Ethiopia's loss of Red Sea access and Eritrea's Independence.
Now what? You harvest what you sow.
It's Somalia's turn to cry. Ethiopia has both economic and historical justification to recognize Somaliland as independent country abd sign defence and business contracts.
Egypt and those particular anti- Ethiopian Arabs has no moral ground to keep Ethiopia landlocked. They financed the Eritean rebels and caused Ethiopia to lose the ancient Red Sea coast with the ports.

  11. It doesn’t concern us if Ethiopia needs a port, We don’t allow Ethiopia in our land 🛑
We might sign a deal to export goods and benefit both but no way somalia would rent land. War it is 🧙‍♂️

  12. France has recognized countries like Kosovo much smaller than Somaliland, which never has been independent within hours. They were extremely interested in human rights of the TPLF insurgency against Ethiopia. The only interest of French policy is the creation of small controlled states.

  13. dont get fooled . they both playing games. Ethiopian president cant by travel by land from its capital because it surrounding a rebel Somali Governor from somali land he is been delaying the election for the last 18 months feb 7 2024 is ultimatum. they want divert from real issue to their own agenda. but playing such a game will result to Ethiopia pay heavy prize cause they are using ber bera port with permission of Somali government. and thats the only hope they have now they cant used anymore that port, another issue there is a close to million oromo people working as a low skilled jobs in somalia they all will be deported Ethiopia is unbelievably poor people there is no jobs no opportunity even government workers in Ethiopia didnt get paid last 2 months thats how bad it is
