  1. This is an insult to people with ME who are genuinely looking for a cure. Many of us have already lost a fortune out of desperation on snakeoil treatments like this. You only asked about the finance and profitability. What about evidence of efficacy – is that not important? Where's the scientific evidence for the claims made? One thing I can almost certainly guarantee – her GP didn't say she'd never work again and never have children. That's just laughable to the rest of us who would be grateful if GPs just took the condition seriously. This is really disappointing and potentially harmful for desperate people looking for a cure. We deserve better.

  3. She was treated by a Chinese herbalist in Newcastle that contributed to her recovery. She also fell pregnant. Science shows us many with cfs go into remission when pregnant due to hormones.

    This isn't about cfs/me patients this is purely about money

  9. Is this the real new series? Why does the studio look so different? And why does this feel more like a staged tv show then a real business investment proposal, everything the BBC touches nowadays really goes down hill. And funded by the tax payer shambles.

As someone who has a daughter with ME, this makes an absolute mockery of the disease, my daughter and the thousands of people around the world who have this life changing and life ruining illness. This, for me, made a mockery of ME. There is no cure for ME, my daughter remains housebound, and for the most part, bedbound for the last two years since the symptoms took over.

  17. Why did all the dragons make an investment offer for a product that has no medical evidence of its efficacy? I thought this show was about viable products, not quack medicine that they can make a quick buck from. I'm really disappointed with the lack of ethics involved in this pitch and investment offers.

  18. There isn’t a cure for ME. I’m a patient myself and this makes a mockery of the disease. You really invest in this shit based on one person who’s clearly just trying to make money out of it? Shambles!! Harmful for the patient community!

  19. What a disgrace BBC since when does the BBC stand behind what is essentially snake oil. I have suffered from ME / CFS for 6 years and I am so angry right now that i am using energy i shouldn't to reply to things like this. I will likely end up bed bound tomorrow due to the pain and extra fatigue that this emotional upset this is causing me.

    ME / CFS is completely debilitating. Many of us are incredibly limited in what we can do, some to the point they are 100% of the time confided to bed, unable to even get up to use a loo. I am happy that this lady has been one of the very lucky few that have "recovered" although i do know that no sticky ear things were the cause of it.

    We as sufferers of this condition find it hard to be believed as it is! This has caused so many of us to have to re explain ourselves yet again! If it were this easy.. do you not thing that medicine would have caught it by now? 1,250.000 people in the UK alone suffer with ME / CFS and you can add to that number sufferers of Long covid who after 18 months have ME / CFS added to their diagnosis.

    The BBC is essentially selling false hope to millions who believe that the BBC is to be respected.
