RAGING floodwaters sweep cars away in San Diego during record-breaking rainstorm #shorts

Vehicles were swept away down a residential street by raging floodwaters during a record-breaking rainstorm in San Diego, California, on Monday, January 22.

Video filmed by Brittany Capito shows multiple cars trapped in the water and being swept down the street in severe flooding.

The San Diego Police Department said several roads were closed due to flooding, and evacuation centers and shelter facilities were open across the city.

According to the National Weather Service, Monday was the wettest January day since records began in 1850.
