  1. If water got into those batteries, they would explode, not just catch fire. I've seen videos of electric car batteries being submerged under water. Flames shoot out the top of the battery like a fle thrower. That's just one battery.

  2. Yes, very impressive. But how much battery drain & recharge time did this escapade cost the driver? He might've not been stranded in the water, great! But 10 minutes later, did he stall on a roadside somewhere? One half dozen the other, possibly.

  3. Proving Tesla drivers are absolute idiots. Unless the vehicle is made for water intrusion, you are ruining your car…maybe not right away but ask any of the suckers that got stuck with hurricane flooded cars. You will have electrical issues for the life of the car.

  4. They should make the batteries completely water proof and water tight because you do get alot of surface water on roads and heavy rain in storms right? They should design all electric cars to be total water resistant.. perhaps solid state batteries in future will help with that as no lithium or moving parts. Such an exciting evolution of batteries to come in the next decade.

  5. I am not a Tesla specialist but I guess the battery has some vent or breather openings…if so, sooner or later moisture/water will get inside and damage the battery internals.

  6. Make Sure and Spring for The Periscope, Fish Finder and Sonar Options on Your Tesla Marine Version.
This May Cause The Stock To RISE sharply. Hopefully Avoiding The Bends.
