26. Resigning shows integrity, but I don't believe that she personally chose or checked any details of the persons to be pardoned (2 dozen people were pardoned on April 2023). It was her staff's job to make sure there's no mistakes or controversy. Presidents just sign whatever is put in front of them. She took the blame for her staff's mistake. Unless this was a calculated political ploy to unseat the first female president. Hungary is a conservative nation, so it's plausible that someone in power disliked having a female leader, would plan a scheme to remove her. Facilitated this controversial pardon to embarrass her, then spread the news to inflame the public. And nobody would know the truth.
