Hi everyone,

So I wanted to know more about the situation in Monaco and more precisely in restaurants, because I am getting contradictory information: on one hand I read this article ([https://service-public-entreprises.gouv.mc/Covid-19/Informations-pratiques-Covid-19/Reglementation-par-secteur-d-activite/Restaurants-et-bars#eztoc5465000_2](https://service-public-entreprises.gouv.mc/Covid-19/Informations-pratiques-Covid-19/Reglementation-par-secteur-d-activite/Restaurants-et-bars#eztoc5465000_2)) from Monaco’s public services saying that access to restaurants are only allowed to residents or citizens of Monaco, and on the other hand I saw on television a documentary about how french people could cross the border to go to the restaurant during the Christmas and new year’s eve weeks.

Do you know what is actually going on? Are french citizens actually allowed to go to restaurants in Monaco?

Thanks!

  1. rules changed starting from jan 2nd, effectively restricting restaurants only to residents/citizens/monaco workers.

French citizens were allowed up to jan 2nd, bringing to much fuss and polemics between franch local government (mainly the mayor of nice) and the principality.

  2. Since today restaurants can only be open until 19h, including for residents. Deliveries only authorized until 21h. If you don’t live or work in Monaco they will not even let you into the country.
